When to Use Freewheel Mode – TZORA Easy Travel Scooters
Freewheel mode allows your TZORA Easy Travel scooter to be moved manually by disengaging the motor from the wheels.
Use Freewheel mode in these situations:
• Moving the scooter without driving it
If the scooter needs to be pushed by hand—such as inside your home, into storage, or while positioning it for transport—Freewheel mode allows the wheels to roll freely.
• Loading or unloading the scooter
When placing the scooter into a car trunk, on a lift, or on a ramp, Freewheel mode makes it easier to guide the scooter without using the throttle.
• Battery is depleted
If the battery is too low to power the scooter, Freewheel mode allows you or a caregiver to push it to a safe location or charging area.
• Tight or confined spaces
In very narrow areas where powered driving is difficult, Freewheel mode can help with gentle manual positioning.
Important Safety Information
• Always switch the scooter back to Drive mode before riding
• Never sit on or attempt to ride the scooter while it is in Freewheel mode
• Do not leave the scooter in Freewheel mode on an incline or slope, as it can roll
• Use caution when pushing the scooter to maintain control
How Freewheel Mode Works
A lever or switch located near the rear drive system disengages the motor:
-
Drive Mode: Scooter operates normally using the throttle
-
Freewheel Mode: Motor is disengaged and the scooter can be pushed manually
